Salt City Spirit Ultimate Salt City Spirit is a new Women's Club Ultimate team out of Syracuse, NY aimed at fostering competitive women's Ultimate in the CNY area.

We would like to welcome you to SALT CITY SPIRIT ULTIMATE! The ultimate scene in Syracuse is growing, and we decided we’d like to continue its growth with an option for club women’s ultimate that is right here in our hometown. We welcome women (18+ with at least 1 yr of college level experience) from all areas of New York State to come check out the heart of upstate NY and play some frisbee with us! NAME: The Salt City Spirit name was decided upon with inspiration from one of Syracuse’s most recognizable buildings, the Niagara Mohawk building. An architectural wonder itself, it was actually the statue gracing the front of the building—with its sleek chrome shine, battle-ready posture, and gorgeous sprawling wings—that seemed to be a fitting symbol of what we want for the team as well as an homage to our beloved Syracuse. WHO WE ARE: The committee is made up of the following team leaders and our coach, Ryan Osborn: Tara Brenner, Meryl Corsun, and Dimple Sangani

GOALS: With fostering competitive women’s ultimate in CNY as our primary goal, we also will not stop until we taste Nationals! This year, we are hoping to build a strong foundation of dedicated ultimate players that can commit to 1-2 tournaments/month as well as 2 Sunday afternoon practices/month. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Women who are committed to playing hard, working to improve themselves as individual players and as part of a team, and those with a positive attitude on and off the field. Salt City Spirit is a women's club team based out of Syracuse, NY. We aim to grow the sport and foster competitive women's ultimate in CNY. The expectation is weekly attendance to (most) practices on Sundays 6-8pm. If you have any questions, email us at [email protected].
