Wawasee Middle School has some fun dress-up days coming up to celebrate Red Ribbon Week!
We will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week from October 26th–October 30th.
Red Ribbon Week is the largest and longest-running annual drug, to***co, and violence prevention awareness campaign. It began in 1985 in Calexico, California, when the family of a DEA Special Agent wore red ribbons to honor his sacrifice and take a stand against illegal drug dealing, narcotics, to***co, alcohol, and violence. The goal of Red Ribbon Week is to mobilize communities, educate youth, and promote safe, healthy, drug-free lives.
The theme for this year is "Make a Difference, Be a Hero, Stay Drug Free."
