This month marks 65 years since Onondaga Community College opened its doors to the community 💙 To celebrate, tonight the National Grid Niagara Mohawk Building will be lit up blue and white .

In May of 1961 the Onondaga County Board of Supervisors (now the Legislature) agreed to sponsor a community college, and also in May of 1961 the SUNY Board of Trustees approved the creation of a community college for Onondaga County.

75 Student-Athletes Earn Academic Honors for Spring of 2026 - Onondaga Community College Athletics Syracuse, NY - 75 Student-Athletes have earned spots on the Onondaga Community College President's and Provost's Lists for the Spring semester of 2026.

Hannah Wagner Named Region 3 Track and Field Athlete of the Year - Onondaga Community College Athletics Syracuse, NY - Onondaga Track & Field's Hannah Wagner was named the Female Track Athlete of the Year as well as Female Field Athlete of the Year for the 2026 outdoor season.

Five of Men's Lacrosse Named All-American - Onondaga Community College Athletics Syracuse, NY - Keller O'Hern, Trysen Sunday, Davin Bomberry, Tehokwirathe Barreiro, and Peter Resnick of Onondaga Men's Lacrosse have been named to the All-America team for the 2026 season.

Here's to your dedication in the classroom, commitment to your team, perseverance through every challenge, early mornings, late nights, long practices, road trips, blood, sweat, and tears.

We are honored to celebrate not only your accomplishments as athletes, but also the leaders, teammates, and individuals you’ve become along the way. The discipline, resilience, and teamwork you developed will continue to guide you far beyond the game.

As you step into this next chapter, take pride in everything you’ve achieved and carry forward the lessons learned both on and off the field/court/track/course/etc. Your future is bright, and this is only the beginning.
