Today we’re excited to announce our new undergraduate major in Integrative AI.

We’ve taken our signature human-centered approach to this program, pairing a foundation in programming, mathematics and AI systems with an examination of how these systems operate in real-world settings through ethics, governance and human-centered design.

Just as the applications and use of AI reach across all industries, organizations and society, we have developed this program to be interdisciplinary and reach across boundaries at the University. We designed the curriculum in collaboration with colleagues in our College of Engineering and Computer Science, the Maxwell School, Newhouse School of Communications, Falk College of Sport, and Arts and Sciences. That’s why all students will pair the major with a minor that complements their interests and demonstrates how AI is shaping everything from policy, to business, sports, media, and beyond.

Students will develop technical competency alongside the ability to critically assess how AI shapes society, organizations and human values. We’re dedicated to educating the future leaders of responsible AI, and we can’t wait to welcome new students into this program!
