AKD stands for Alpha Kappa Delta, a non-secret, democratic, international society of scholars dedicated to the ideal of Athropon Katamannthanein Diakonesin or “to investigate humanity for the purpose of service.”

Congratulations to Momina Khan, AKD Member and student at the University of North Texas on presenting not once, but TWICE at the Southwestern Social Science Association conference!
Momina shared research on health insurance coverage and access to care among older immigrants and a presentation titled "Tracing Dementia Across the Life Course: Intergenerational Care in Pakistan’s Policy Vacuum."
