Students in our Animation & Game Design program at the STEAM High School are being prepared for entry-level careers or for further education and training in fields that use visual art, digital media, and web-based tools as primary forms of communication and creative expression.

Students develop skills in both visual art concepts as well as new and emerging digital processes in multiple types of media for applications including 2D and 3D computer animation, innovative editing, graphic design, website design, video and audio production and post-production. Students will utilize the latest digital technology tools, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Avid Pro Tools, Autodesk, video and gaming software, gaming engines, and open source software for multiple digital media applications.

Employment in these areas is projected to grow 8 percent from 2022 to 2032. This growth will be due to increased demand for animation and visual effects in video games, movies, and television. Consumer demand will continue for more realistic video games, movie and television special effects, and 3D movies.
