Visit formulasae.syr.edu for more information Formula SAE is an international collegiate design competition sanctioned by the Society of Automotive Engineers.

Students participating in the competition must design, manufacture and race their own open wheeled racecars. The vehicles are built to comply with a set of rules which include stringent safety requirements, but are fairly open otherwise and therefore foster creative design. The FSAE program at SU was revived last year after a 10 year hiatus from competition due to a lack of interest. This current

Best push bar in Michigan??

Proud is an understatement. Every late night in the shop, every problem solved under pressure, every sacrifice made to get CR5 to Michigan came from the team. Going above and beyond did not go unnoticed, it is the only reason we are here. Thank you to all of our members. Especially as a student-run team, Citrus Racing is nothing without the people in it!!

Day 4: Endurance

Endurance was our biggest learning experience yet. After a few laps in the rain, we had to end early due to a mechanical issue. It reminded us just how much small decisions can have greater impacts. While we had to end early, we are extremely proud of how far we have come, competing in every event. We walked away with something just as valuable: real-world data and clear changes to be made. This is part of the real-world engineering experience members get on this team, finding an issue and being able to solve it. Endurance is meant to push the cars to the max, claiming a lot of teams each year, but it’s the lessons you take away from it that really matter. CR5 outperformed every car this program has produced in the last two decades. Now our eyes are set on 2027, and CR6 is going to be built on everything we learned to get there.
