A few weeks ago, many of our students participated in QUEST, the annual symposium hosted by SUNY Oswego at the Syracuse branch campus, allowing students, faculty, and staff to share and celebrate their scholarly and creative work. In particular, Biomedical and Health Informatics students and faculty were able to present work focused on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with diverse applications.

Poster submission: April 11th (NOON), 2025 - For those presenting at the Syracuse campus. Your report should include aims, background, methods, and some preliminary results.

Poster presentations: April 22nd (5PM - 8PM), 2025 - QUEST event with poster presentations at the Syracuse campus.

-SUNY Graduate Research Conference Deadlines:
Abstract submission: April 4th, 2025 - Submit a one-page abstract online: http://www.suny.edu/gradcon. You can update the abstract before the conference.

Presentation (Online): May 2nd, 2025 - Present your poster online at the conference.

An interesting online conference presenting the top research from SUNY graduate students will be held on April 11. Registration is free of cost. It is intended to commemorate graduate student research conducted throughout SUNY. New this year, we are honored to have two SUNY Distinguished Research Professors present at the Conference, fascinating graduate student panels on Gender Violence and AI for Good, as well as more than 50 posters showcasing graduate research.

The Graduate and Research Committee of the University Faculty Senate, in collaboration with the SUNY Center for Professional Development, will be hosting the second edition of the SUNY Graduate Research Conference (GRC).

SUNY graduate students in all academic fields are invited to contribute to the 2023 SUNY Graduate Research Conference (GRC) as panelists or poster presenters. Graduate students can participate in the following ways:

Two types of submissions are welcome:

1. Submit proposals to contribute as panelists to Big Ideas cross-disciplinary panels on the following topics:

• What was the Physico-chemical origin of life? (Moderated by Distinguished Professor Dill)
• Energy sources--which are the most sustainable for the next generation? (Moderated by Distinguished Professor Rafailovich)
• How should we understand and address gender-based violence around the world? (Moderated by Distinguished Professor Zheng)
• How has Artificial Intelligence positively impacted society and what more can it do for the Common Good? (Moderated by Professor Bichindaritz)

2. Submit proposals to present their independent research and creative projects as posters.

We expect to get many of your submissions and encourage you to use this chance to demonstrate your abilities and expertise in this area.
