With over 30 years experience as a special education teacher and a teacher of the deaf, I am uniquely qualified to adapt the Baby Signs curriculum to meet the needs of all children. Baby Signs with Kathy offers the following classes and programs:

Parent Workshop
This one-time introductory workshop teaches everything you need to know to get started with the Baby Signs® Program. You will learn:

how to begin signing with your baby
effective ways to begin teaching signs at home
easy ways to use signs in daily routines
what to expect as your baby transitions from signs to speech

Sign, Say and Play
This 6-week play class for parents and their babies ages 0-24 months:

highlights signs that are most important in the lives of babies
teaches signing through fun games with BeeBo™ the Baby Signs® Bear
provides signing practice through delightful Baby Signs® songs
introduces play activities that reinforce important language, cognitive and social- emotional skills
brings families together to share their signing experiences

Potty Party
This 45-minute workshop offers tips and techniques for a postive, stress-free potty training experience! Early Childood Educator Training
Baby Signs With Kathy offers high-quality training options specifically designed to teach child development professionals everything they need to know to start signing right away. This training is designed to provide an informative and enjoyable training with games, songs, and activities liberally sprinkled throughout to keep teachers engaged and excited as they learn. Tuesday, October 2nd, 5-6 PM - PARENT WORKSHOP geared toward working parents, but open to all - come learn all you need to know to begin signing with your baby or toddler in this compressed version of the Baby Signs Parent Workshop. Wednesday, October 3rd, 10:00-10:45 AM, OUR RAINBOW WORLD, Skaneateles Public Library - learn ASL color signs and how colors help build a foundation for future learning. Ideal for ages 18 months-4years.

This workshop is specifically designed for parents of children from birth to 24 months and will teach you all you need to know to begin using the Baby Signs® program at home. The Baby Signs® Parent Workshop is based on the breakthrough research of Drs. Linda Acredolo and Susan Goodwyn documenting the positive effects of teaching infants to communicate with signs before they can talk. Some of the benefits:
