Call for Special Issue of Excelsior: Leadership in Teaching and Learning
Teaching During a Pandemic
The world has been upended by the coronavirus. Most K-12 schools and universities closed in mid-March, and teachers, administrators, and teacher and administrator educators had to migrate to online teaching almost overnight. In this special issue of Excelsior, we would like to explore what this means for teacher and administrator preparation and practice. We are soliciting manuscripts, research-to-practice briefs, policy analysis, commentaries, and other pieces related to teacher and administrator preparation and practice both during the “stay at home” phase of the pandemic, and as states, institutions of higher education, and K-12 schools think about reopening for the next school year.
