We celebrated Earth Week with our final event of the semester, a trash cleanup in Thornden Park this past rainy Saturday. Thanks to everyone who came out despite the weather and helped to leave a corner of the Earth a cleaner place than when we found it 🌎🚮

ATTENTION STUDENTS!!! Take some time to vote for SU and ESF’s candidates for NYPIRG’s statewide board of directors!
These candidates are wonderful human beings that have been working tirelessly with the SU and ESF chapter of NYPIRG. By voting for them, you are electing them to sit on the board of our nonprofit and represent SU and ESF students in statewide conversations about where NYPIRG should go in the coming year.
Link to vote in bio! You have until 9pm on Friday to cast your vote. Our candidates will be giving short speeches at tomorrow’s chapter meeting at 5pm in Carnegie 120 so be sure to come by and hear from them about why they’re running!

STOP THE ENERGY HOGS 🐷
This past week we got to be a part of the pig bus tour press conference where local climate and affordability allies came out to advocate against the AI and Crypto energy hogs that drive utility prices up for everyday civilians. Proposed data centers will draw off of our Great Lakes and our Finger Lakes and cause all kinds of pollution which is why we need to see a moratorium now! 🐖🚌

We are so proud to announce that we won the “Community Service Organization of the Year” award at SUNY ESF’s SOLAR Awards tonight! We are honored to accept this acknowledgment of our impact here in Syracuse. We will do everything we can to continue the work that we do here, to continue engaging and educating the student body, and to continue to fight for you all whether we’re organizing around making a healthier Earth or fighting for higher education affordability for many years to come.
Thank you MOSA and thank you to everyone in this organization who made this recognition possible!
