Steve Ryan Dance Learn to dance all typesof swing dancing with Steve Ryan! Steve teaches in Syracuse, Rochester, and He is an advanced male swing dance competitor on the circuit.

Steven Ryan is a professional dancer who owns Swing Dance Alley in Syracuse NY; he has been dancing since he was a 17 and has won numerous dance competitions throughout that time in jazz, theatre arts, hustle &, west coast swing. He also won a full scholarship to the studios of Alvin Ailey in NYC. He also danced a feature roll in the Sleeping Beauty Ballet in the Syracuse City Ballet. He has choreographed many swing dance routines that were performed by class members at local dances and at the Syracuse Symphony. He’s a firm believer in strong technique. He is also the founder and president of The Syracuse Swing Dance Society. He attends and competes at National Events. Most recently, he won 2nd place in advance Hustle at Swustlicious near Philadelphia PA. Steve has taught in many states, Canada classes as well as internationally.

Hey Dancers,

The momentum continues on Thursday night's WCS Community Dance. Over the summer there was a great turnout for the dances and it's continuing into fall. Last night, Can Isik played wonderful music that kept us dancing until 10:30pm. Next week Shaun Carpenter is dj. Hey West Coast Swing Dancers,

Swing Dance Alley is starting lessons and dances again after a short break on Thursday, September 10th. There's a refresher wcs class starting at 6:30pm and an intermediate class at 7:30pm. The dances start at 8:30pm. This week's dj Can Isik. Next week, September 17th, Shaun Carpenter will dj.

You can register through Swing Dance Alley's Calendar of events below for the lessons. There's no pre-registration for the dance. If you take a lesson, the dance is $5.00, otherwise it's $10.

Hi Everybody,

I'm cancelling the Thursday night's west coast swing lessons and dance on August 27th and September 3rd, in lieu of some extended vacation time. It's also a busy time for most people leading up to and around Labor Day,

Lessons and dances will resume on September 10th. I'll have a full schedule of lessons and rotating dj's out soon. I'm thrilled that the Thursday night community dances have been well attended this summer, and I hope we continue the momentum into the fall season with your help. I've offered lessons spots before the dance to many local and regional dance teachers, and I hope to expand the list in the near future.
