📚Literacy and reading comprehension are essential to our students’ future success, and building strong reading habits starts with making time to read every day. Whether it’s a novel, comic book, picture book, or favorite story, every page counts!

Today our students and teachers joined the Utah Statewide Readathon, hosted by Governor Spencer Cox and First Lady Abby Cox, celebrating the joy of reading and the importance of lifelong literacy. It was a wonderful opportunity to slow down, read together, and celebrate books! 📖❤️

Keep encouraging your child to make reading a part of every day!

📚✨ Get Ready to Read! ✨📚

On October 2, our students will join the Utah Statewide Read-A-Thon, a celebration of reading for all ages hosted by Governor Spencer Cox and First Lady Abby Cox! The event encourages a love of reading, lifelong literacy, and connection through books.

Our teachers will make the day special by celebrating the Read-A-Thon in fun and creative ways right in their classrooms. And there’s an extra reason to get excited—students who participate will receive a special prize from Mrs. Lynne, our school librarian! 🎉📖

Let’s celebrate the joy of reading together! ❤️📚

Our Teachers & Staff Are Too COOL! 🍦❄️

We’re so grateful for our amazing PTA and the thoughtful ways they celebrate the Cook Elementary faculty and staff!

For the month of September, our PTA treated everyone to soft-serve ice cream as a sweet way to recognize the dedication, care, and hard work that make our school such a wonderful place.

Thank you, PTA, for helping our teachers and staff feel so valued and celebrated! 💙🍦
