Second grade is kicking off the year with a little team building!

Through three challenges: LEGO, Play-Doh, and a spaghetti + marshmallow tower. Students are learning that working together means listening, encouraging, problem-solving and recognizing that everyone has something important to contribute.

And the bigger lesson?

We’re all on God’s team, and every one of us has an important part to play. 🙌

Building more than towers. Building teamwork, character and community.

Same LEGOs. Different minds. Completely different creations. 🧱✨

And isn’t that a beautiful picture of how God created us?

This week in STEM, each classroom from Kindergarten through 4th grade was given LEGOs and the freedom to create. No two creations looked quite the same.

Then came the challenge. 👏

Students paired up, combined their LEGOs and had to create together.

Different gifts. Different ideas. One shared goal.

At Faith Heritage, STEM happens every week, giving students opportunities to create, problem-solve and collaborate, while discovering the unique gifts God has given them. 💙💛

Created uniquely. Learning purposefully. Growing together.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the families forever changed.

We remember the courage.

We remember the sacrifice.

We remember how our nation came together.

And we pray.

Our children spend thousands of hours in the classroom. And teachers do far more than teach academics.

In the sunshine, we gathered together as one Faith Heritage family to start a brand-new school year.

We gathered.
We prayed.
And we placed the year ahead in His hands. 🙏💙💛

Before the lessons, the assignments, the practices and the busy schedules, we started with Jesus.

Faculty and Staff Orientation kicked off this week, and Board Chair Freddy Santucci set the tone for the year ahead.

His charge to our team was simple and weighty: that every student who walks these halls would see Christ in us.

That's the standard our staff carries into this school year. Truth. Love. Service. Lived out in front of our students, every day.
