Thanks to the Larson ranch in Leoti for hosting the Way Out West livestock judging invitational contest

The Jr. team placed 1st:
Sandra Einspahr Tied for 1st
Rylan Bloyd placed 5th
Gavin Grilliot

The Senior team placed 2nd
Collen Green placed 5th
Cavin Housholder
Logan Dikeman

Reminder:

Donkey Basketball is this Saturday, April 5th at the Barney acres Gym at 7:00 PM. Paw prints says 6:00 PM but it is at 7:00 PM

Tickets are $9 dollars in advance, and $13 dollars at the door.

Kids 5 and under get in for free, everyone one else above the age 5 must buy a ticket and BRING their ticket to the gate.

Yesterday 16 students went to Dodge city and competed in livestock judging and Entomology identification.

Collen Green placed 18th out of 108
Sandra Einspahr placed 18th out 61
The Junior livestockk team placed 8th of out 21

Donkey basketball is back!!

Starting today, FFA members will be selling tickets to our bi-annual Donkey basketball game.

Donkey basketball will take place in the Barney Akers gym, on Saturday April 5th at 7:00 pm.

Tickets will cost $9 in advance and $13 at the door.

Reach out if you need an FFA member sent your way!

We made it to Indianapolis!

Last Wednesday this group went and competed in the district land and homesite contest. The homesite team consisting of Addison Dikeman, Logan Dikeman, Abby Swchieterman, and Addy Riley got 3rd overall as a team. Logan and Addison placed 3rd and 5th individually both receiving a medal. So proud of these kids hard work!

Make sure you get your Rocky Mountain Oyster fry ticket!! Sales stop October 5th. We will be serving chicken strips and fries for those who don’t like Rocky Mountain oysters!

The students had their first land and homesite judging contests this Wednesday. They got 3rd out of 11 in homesite as a team, and 10th out of 28 in land as a team. Sandra Einsphar got 11th in land and Addison Dikeman got 23rd out of 102 contestants in land judging. Addison Dikeman also received 11th as well as Abby Schwieterman getting 16th out of 36 contestants in homesite. Very proud of these kids!

Some clarification for the annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry….

1. Rocky Mountain oysters are calf fries, also known as bull testicles. There have been some questions about that.

2. There will be chicken served at this year’s Rocky Mount oyster Fry, as well as french fries.

3. All checks written will go to Syracuse FFA.

4. The cooking will happen in the Butler building, not the eating. You will eat where you have always ate.

Syracuse FFA is hosting the annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry on October 10th from 5-7 at the fair grounds Butler building. Find a FFA member to get your tickets or contact Connor Crownover at 806-922-7897 to get you in contact with a member! Come support your local FFA!
