TICKED OFF: With the combination of heavy rain and milder air on the way, tick season is likely to ramp up fast. A short trail walk netted multiple ticks I had to pluck off Bolt. If you find yourself in wooded or grassy areas, make sure you're checking both you and your pets. They're out for blood, literally!

Please share! We are looking to hire a life guard or two for our Summer Camp! It is a great job! We have a heated pool and our teachers/counselors stay with the groups to assist the lifeguards at their pool time. We are looking for the hours of 9-3 but can be somewhat flexible. It may be cold and wintery outside, but at RECC, we are dreaming of our Summer Camp!! Join us for some Summer Fun at RECC Summer Camp!! Our focus is getting the children outside as much as possible and this year’s theme is Camping!! We have certified lifeguards for our swimming pool and multiple playgrounds and outside green spaces!! Cannot wait!! Help us spread the word !!

Due to road conditions, RECC has a two hour delay today, Wednesday, January 28, 2026. We will open at 8:30 am.

Important notice to families, as a result of the inclement weather and the State of New York's declaration of emergency, RECC will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026. Thank you for your understanding and please stay safe.

During this season of gratitude, we give thanks to our partner, the Jewish Federation of Central New York. Thanks to them, the Rothschild Early Childhood Center (RECC) at Temple Adath Yeshurun is the proud recipient of a $16,500 security grant from The Tepper Foundation’s National Security Emergency Fund and Jewish Federations of North America.

This grant helped us bolster security at our Early Childhood school year program and summer camp program, as we are committed to creating safe spaces for our children at RECC. Together, we will stand against hate and intolerance and build a stronger community for all.

We are delighted to report that yesterday's carnival was a success. Thank you to everyone who participated. We are grateful for the donations of items and money for the class baskets. Appreciation is also extended to the classroom parents who coordinated their class baskets. The raffle baskets were outstanding, and the winners were very pleased. The absent winner has been contacted. Congratulations to all the winners.
