We have been watching our caterpillars grow and then develop and change into butterflies. It was been so exciting!
They really did go from little hungry caterpillars to big fat caterpillars. Then they cocooned themselves in a chrysalis and we waited and waited. Then one by one they broke free over three days. We let them go today.

Week of Spring.
We made the first letter of our names into beautiful pieces of flower art.
We also made layered flower bookmarks.
We had so much fun painting birdhouses for the birds that are starting to show up.
We also made little brown pots that held our packets of seeds to take home to plant.
We are so excited to see all the new signs of Spring around us. 🌸

St. Patrick’s Week found us making shamrocks with rainbows and learning how to fanfold paper. Followed by rainbows with pipe cleaners and the biggest marshmallows you ever saw. Using our fine motor skills to bend and place them into the marshmallows in the correct order was a big project. Our students did a FABULOUS job on them. Not pictured is our pot of gold coins we used to count our ten coins out. We would count out two piles of different numbers and see what total we got. Example: count out three coins first, then count out four coins in the second pile. How many coins do we have? They were so excited when this concept clicked with them. They did not want to stop!
Next week is our Spring Week. We are excited to see what that will bring.

Dr Seuss Week has been so fun! Sam I Am and Cindy Lou Who visited 😉. We colored crazy seussical socks and took home truffula trees! Reading so many of our favorite Dr Seuss books have been the favorite though!
