Stop, Drop and Roll
If your clothes or body catches fire, you need to remember the lifesaving technique:

STOP, DROP AND ROLL

FIRST: stop exactly where you are instead of running, as movement or panic will only fan the flames and make them spread faster.

NEXT: drop immediately to the ground in a flat position, using your hands to cover your face, eyes, and mouth to protect your airways and skin from the heat.

FINALLY: roll over and over, or back and forth, until the fire is completely extinguished.

Mental Health is a fundamental component of our overall well-being, directly shaping how we think, feel, handle stress, and connect with others. Far from being separated from physical health, a healthy mind acts as a shield for our bodies; chronic emotional distress can trigger real physical ailment, including high blood pressure, sleep disruption, and an increased risk of heart disease. Nurturing our mental health is not a luxury, but an essential foundation for leading a vibrant, balanced, and meaningful life.

STOP, DROP & ROLL!
We loved having the Syracuse firefighters visit Bluff Ridge for Fire Prevention Day!

A few important reminders for families:

• Test your smoke alarms
• Keep matches and lighters out of reach
• Know two ways out
• Choose a family meeting spot
• Practice your fire escape plan

Family Challenge: Take a few minutes tonight to practice your fire escape plan together!

2nd Grade Tie-Dye
This week our 2nd Graders had a good old-time bunching, twisting and folding T-Shirts to be Tie-Dyed. This is a fun hands-on experience where there are no mistakes only unique masterpieces. Squeezing bright, vibrant, bold colors from a bottle onto a shirt is often a therapeutic rush of self-expression. Great Job 2nd graders!

We had some of our students think of a teacher that has left an impact on them. We are so blessed to have such amazing teachers at our school! They provide an invaluable contribution to our students lives. They are helping shape the future generation in our school! 🎨Second grade brought the COLOR to Bluff Ridge!
Tie-Dye t-shirt day was full of bright colors, and lots of fun! We had a “dye-lightful” time creating colorful masterpieces!
