Greetings Local Women Self-Protectors!

Happening this Monday...

5:30-6:15 Range Time: Meet at the end of Range 4 at Izaak Walton Lincoln League (Ike's) at 5:30. If you miss the safety briefing, you will help keep eyes on safety and not shoot. We will practice dry firing from our bags after a bit of instruction. Live fire after demonstration of safety during the dry fire portion.

6:30-8pm Seminar on the responsibilities involved with off-the-body carry and review of various styles will be present. Bring your own!

This Monday, May 18, we will meet at 5:30 at the end of Range 4, set up, then learn our distance shooting limits. For all our safety you can only observe if you are not present for the safety briefing at 5:45. $10 to shoot if you are not an Ikes member. If you are attending more than your first meeting, join Armed Women of America, Platte River Chapter.

Bring your handgun and holster, 30 or more rounds, ear and eye protection. A cap is nice to block the sun from our eyes.

7PM we will meet at the Ikes Clubhouse to learn what to typically expect at a mass shooting.

BRING: Yourself and any friends! Bring your ownAR-15 or check out mine. I will help you understand its history, the basics, and even help you experience it.

Start @ 5:30 at the end of Range 4
In the past, we have started at the clubhouse. Instead, come in through the open gate to the last range #4 then drive through that gate to the end where I'll be set up and ready to give you a safety briefing, short training then we'll shoot at your pace.

We'll clean up and get to the clubhouse in time for the 7PM get together and training.

Join us from 6-8pm as guest Mike Hergenreder ​shares about the Single Action Shooting Society. You'll also hear about various other types of event shooting. It's a great way to learn more safety and get more comfortable shooting.

If you come at 5:30, we can review gun safety basics and range etiquette. Don't bring live ammo and be ready with any questions you may have.
