Please Help Us Welcome… Mrs. Galloway!

We are so excited to welcome Mrs. Galloway to the Mustard Seed Academy team!

Mrs. Galloway is beginning her fifth year of teaching and brings experience teaching both 2nd and 4th grades. She loves watching children learn and grow, and her hope is that every child in her classroom feels seen, valued, and cared for.

Mrs. Galloway and her family recently made the big move from Southern California to Utah, and we are so happy that their new adventure brought her to MSA!

We can’t wait for our students and families to get to know her. Please help us give Mrs. Galloway a warm Mustard Seed Academy welcome!

Saying hi to our farm animals!🐓🐐🐑🦆

What if children didn’t have to stop being children when they started school?

What if learning could happen while they were moving, building, exploring, asking questions, caring for an animal, digging in the dirt, or sitting under a tree with a book?

At Mustard Seed Academy, we believe it can.

Children were made to MOVE. To wonder. To play. To create. To ask a hundred questions. To get dirty. To solve problems. To explore the world around them.

And we believe all of that belongs at school.

That’s why play still has an important place in our younger grades. It’s why our students will have plenty of time outside—not only for recess, but for learning, exploring, creating, and discovering too.

And when your school is surrounded by nature, with a farm and animals just outside the classroom, there are learning opportunities everywhere.

A question about an animal can turn into a science lesson.

Helping care for something living can teach responsibility, patience, and compassion.

Something discovered outside can spark an entire conversation, project, or investigation.

You might find us reading under a tree, taking math outside, exploring the farm, observing an animal, working together on a project—or simply giving children the time and space to PLAY.

Because play and learning aren’t opposites.

Movement isn’t a distraction from learning.

And outside time isn’t something children should have to earn after they’ve finished the “real work.”

These experiences ARE part of the real work of childhood.

Of course, our students will read. They’ll write. They’ll learn math, science, history, and all of the academic skills they need to grow.

But we don’t believe they need to spend their childhood sitting still in order to do it.

At Mustard Seed Academy, we want children to grow and flourish—academically, socially, emotionally, and as the wonderfully curious kids they already are.

Sometimes the very best classroom doesn’t have four walls.

Please Help Us Welcome… Mr. Josh!

We are so excited to welcome Josh McArthur to the Mustard Seed Academy team!

Josh graduated from Weber State University with a degree in Social Science Teaching and is excited to bring his passion for education into the classroom.

One of the things we love most about Josh is his belief that teaching starts with truly caring about your students. As Josh shared:

“Students don’t care about how much you know until they know how much you care.”

He believes students need to know their teacher has their back, is cheering them on, and genuinely wants to see them succeed.

Outside of the classroom, Josh and his wife live in Ogden with their three fur babies—two dogs and a cat! They enjoy taking walks around town and going for drives through the beautiful canyons nearby.

Josh is excited to begin this new chapter at Mustard Seed Academy and help our students learn, grow, and become the best they can be.

Please help us give Mr. Josh a BIG Mustard Seed Academy welcome!
