🍪 Helping Grandma & Grandpa! 👵🏼👴🏼

Our Pre-K 3 friends read Helping Grandma and Grandpa and then got to do what the children in the book did! We made cookies into different shapes and had so much fun decorating them with different colored frosting. ❤️💙💚💛

This was such a fun way to connect our story to a hands-on activity while practicing creativity, following directions, and using our imaginations! 🍪✨

PreK 3 this week

During circle time this week we have been learning about positional words. Today we hid some scarves around the room and gave the kiddos hints such as “behind the easel” or “under the crib” to find all the missing scarves! They also worked on fine motor skills and shape identification. Then they became “soapy scientists”

Today we explored our sense of taste!
The children learned that our tongue and taste buds help us taste different foods. We talked about how foods can taste sweet, salty, sour and bitter The children had the opportunity to try different tastes and share their thoughts about what they liked or didn’t like.
We had some funny reactions to some of the flavors! This was a fun way for the children to use their senses while practicing describing what they experienced.
