American Council of Engineering Companies of New York is the unified voice for engineering professionals for each other, their clients, and all levels of government in New York State and supports via education, advocacy, inclusion, partnering, and knowledge sharing. LiRo-Hill is proud to represent the engineering industry to serve the business interests and make an impact on the professional and business climate, to share information and best practices, and to gain visibility among peers, agencies, clients, and other professional organizations with similar interests. Addressing the challenges within the business, whether topic specific or client facing is important for engineering to flourish. The following are several ways this leadership is being developed by LiRo-Hill team members:

Bernie McNeilly, Chair Metro Region: Bernie will lead and coordinate activities with the Metro Board of Directors and ACECNY staff to address policy, advocacy and related activities in the greater New York metropolitan area, the largest section within ACECNY. Previously, he also served as Chair for ACEC New Jersey.

Peter Koklanos, Vice Chair NYCEDC and Vice Chair NYC Parks & Recreation: Peter will be the Vice Chair for two separate client facing coordination efforts with DDC and Parks & Recreation to improve business practices to support DDC and P&R delivery needs with a wide array of contract models in NYC.

Anthony Alduino, Chair Metro Codes Committee: Anthony will lead the coordination of efforts that work with consultants, clients and regulatory agencies to improve and adjust the mechanical portions of the building code to achieve a built environment in a sustainable way. Anthony has been actively involved in efforts for several years.

Aditi Patel, Chair Digital Delivery: Aditi will lead a cross cutting technical committee that is growing in importance and transcends efforts with many clients to help strengthen the digital offering in project delivery.

LiRo-Hill once again had the pleasure of hosting a participant in the New York City School Construction Authority's (SCA) Summer Internship Program (SIP). The program offers New York City public high school students valuable exposure to professional careers through training, mentorship, and hands-on experience. We were thrilled to have Andrew Fusco spend six weeks with our team, and his enthusiasm, dedication, and contributions made him a truly valued member of the LiRo-Hill family.

LiRo-Hill was proud to attend the NJ Alliance for Action’s 13th Annual Distinguished Engineering Awards, which recognizes outstanding engineering achievements throughout the Garden State. We are especially proud that our Monmouth County EMS Training Facility project was honored as one of the award-winning projects. Congratulations to our project team for this well-deserved recognition and their dedication to delivering a successful project. The LiRo-Hill Civil/Structural leadership team recently came together for our Summer Summit. Leaders from our NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey regions met in our downtown office to roll up our sleeves and share progress, challenges, and future plans across the department. Bringing together a broad range of technical expertise and project experience allows us to learn from one another and approach challenges from different perspectives. Those connections make us a stronger team and help us deliver better outcomes for our clients. A productive day with a talented group and an exciting road ahead.

The new Brooklyn District 3 Sanitation Garage and Offices was highlighted by Building Design + Construction for its sustainable design, extensive daylighting, green roof, and resilient infrastructure. LiRo-Hill provided construction management services for this state-of-the-art, 220,000 sf facility, helping deliver a modern, community-focused building that supports essential sanitation operations and environmental goals.

LiRo-Hill attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Maplewood Nature Center in Rochester, New York. The center provides a welcoming space for environmental education, outdoor recreation, and community engagement, while supporting Rochester’s Children’s Outdoor Bill of Rights, which promotes opportunities for every child to explore and connect with nature. LiRo-Hill attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Suffolk County Water Authority's new Construction Maintenance Building project. We are providing architectural and engineering design services for the new two-story facility, which will help create a more cohesive campus by separating administrative and operational functions.

The campus wide project includes a new Construction Maintenance office building, fuel station, and truck shelter/garage, along with demolition of existing facilities and site improvements, including new parking areas and a unified campus plan connecting the new and existing buildings.

LiRo-Hill had a wonderful time at the 2026 Randall's Island Park Alliance Gala. This year’s event honored Tim Howard, Soccer Hall of Famer, World Cup veteran, and NBC Sports analyst, and John Sulinski, Chief Operating Officer of The LandTek Group and President of TenCate East. Both honorees were recognized for their outstanding contributions to athletics and recreation, reflecting the Alliance’s commitment to excellence, opportunity, and access for all.

On Monday, LiRo-Hill had the privilege of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Buffalo Bills Stadium. LiRo-Hill supported Empire State Development by providing Owner's Representative services throughout the project.

We are proud to have played a role in a project that will have a lasting impact on both the Buffalo community and New York State as a whole. The excitement and anticipation surrounding this stadium have been incredible, and we look forward to seeing Bills fans enjoy this remarkable new venue for years to come.
