20년전 아래 제안은 지금도 유효하고 핵전쟁의 위협속에 DMZ 유엔평화지대의 가치는 더욱더 절실하게 다가옵니다!
발사모 부소장은 “한반도의 DMZ는 전쟁의 결과로 탄생한 ‘자연의 평화구역’이자 전쟁의 잿더미 속에서 다시 살아나는 위대한 자연 복원력을 보여준다”며 “세계 역사상 유례가 없는 이 지역은 세계 유산 지정의 가치가 있다”고 말했다. DMZ포럼(대표 이승호) 주최로 열리는 이 회의는 한반도의 DMZ(비무장지대)를 유네스코 세계 유산 (World Heritage Site)으로 지정하자는 주제를 놓고 의견을 나누는 자리이다.
