Good things happening!!

Our FBLA state champions had the honor of being recognized at the BOE meeting yesterday evening! Thank you Worth County Board of Education for taking the time to spotlight our members and their huge accomplishments!

Yesterday evening was all about the students, but I'd like to also take this opportunity to thank our community. Without your support we wouldn't be able to do what we do! Thank you for your support of our fundraisers, attending our events, your donations, helping our students prepare for competitions, and so much more! When it comes to student organizations, I have learned that it truly takes a village. We are very thankful for our village!

🔨 This Month’s CTAE Highlight: Architecture & Construction

Economic development starts with workforce development, and Worth County High School’s Carpentry pathway is helping build the skilled workforce that supports our community’s future growth.

Led by Mr. Hancock, who brings 35 years of construction industry experience into the classroom, students gain hands-on training in construction practices, safety, blueprint reading, site preparation, framing, and foundational building skills.

Students develop industry skills through coursework including Professional Tool and Safety, Construction Print Reading Fundamentals, Site Layout, Footings and Foundation, Floor, Wall and Stair Framing, and Ceiling and Roof Framing, with safety and technical precision emphasized throughout every stage of instruction.

Programs like these help strengthen Worth County’s workforce pipeline by preparing students for careers in construction and skilled trades, industries that play a critical role in housing development, infrastructure projects, and long-term economic growth.

As Worth County continues investing in its future, pathways like Architecture and Construction help ensure the next generation is ready to build it.

✂️ Congratulations to WCHS Senior Alie Powell on making school history! 🎉

Alie is the first student in Worth County High School history to complete the Hair Design TCC program through Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC)! This incredible accomplishment reflects her hard work, dedication, and commitment to her future career goals.

We are so proud of Alie for blazing a trail and representing WCHS in such a positive way. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement! 💛🖤
