Learning Through Exploration in Mrs. Woollardโs Class!
Students in Mrs. Woollardโs class have been diving into hands-on learning as they rotate through different stations, investigating how people lived and traveled in the past. At each station, students complete a mission, work together, and record their findings in their booklets. ๐โ๏ธ
At the Food Station, students explored which foods would have been most useful to carry while traveling. Mrs. Woollard challenged them to think beyond the obvious by asking why dried berries and dried meat would be better choices for people on the move. ๐ซ๐ฅฉ
At the Shelter Station, students investigated how a tipi was designed to meet the needs of the people who lived in it. Students matched different features to their purposes and answered questions about how those features helped people.
What a great example of hands-on learning, questioning, and higher-level thinking! Mrs. Woollard is helping students not only learn what happened, but understand why it mattered. โค๏ธ๐
