Homemade vege soup on this cool evening. The only thing that would make this better is some good oxtail in it. Yummmmm.
Right Bekki Edwards and Renae Edwards?

Chocolate Chia Pudding with Keto Zone Collagen Recipe 04/26/2021

Love this yummy pudding. I substitute 1/2 to 3/4 tsp of stevia powder for the maple syrup, one scoop grass-fed plain collagen powder for the chocolate collagen powder. Then I add 1-2tsp of cocoa, personal preference. Blend and it makes a great healthy dessert that provides long lasting energy.

Never buy taco seasoning again. I’ve been making this taco seasoning for over five years now. I make it in bulk and then store it and use when needed. I use it in homemade chili, tacos, and in fajita mix.
Love this easy recipe. So much cheaper than the store bought stuff and much healthier for us all.
I also keep the ingredients and measurements taped to the outside of my jar/storage container so I don’t have to look them up later. Then when I need to refill it, I just take an extra five to ten minutes and put the ingredients all together in the jar and shake (with lid on jar) 🙂.
Enjoy, all you taco lovers.

Making button necklaces with Mama to keep me busy. Just like her grandmother used to give her to keep her busy.
All I needed was old buttons, thread and a needle. Yes, I used a real pokey needle.
But it kept me busy for at least thirty minutes anyway.

Staying sane and active today in our home.

It’s a gray, chilly day here in NW Ohio, so we are indoors this morning.

So far our morning has consisted of “get your own” breakfast, some bread making, chores, news watching along with some open discussion, relaxing with a 1000 piece puzzle together, and now some kid-invented workouts while I put in some much needed music time with our piano.

Not perfect here, yet feels so great to know we have amazing kids we get to spend this time with right now.

My advice today: Have a plan, stick to it as much as possible, and be flexible. Our kids feel the change in our culture and society too, so make opportunities for them to enjoy this new time together and express their feelings about the changes. Address their concerns. Pray with them. And then keep going. Forget the other stuff at times and just enjoy your time together.

Today we still plan to read for an hour or so and fit in algebra, pre-k math, the letter L with Josie (making lemonade outta lemons today for L day), drink some green cherry milk, eat some green chocolate mint cookies for St Patrick’s Day, and practice our writing and Latin. But for now, we have teen-led exercise class and piano with Mom.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all of you!

May your day be blessed.
