Our 6th grade science students put their creativity and engineering skills to the test by designing and building marble roller coasters in teams! Today, groups were judged on both presentation and effectiveness, and the competition was fierce. Congratulations to “PacDonald,” the fast food-inspired coaster, for rolling away with the top prize!

Halfway There - Keep It Coming!

Our MJHS Spiritwear Giveback is in full swing, and we’ve already had a great start. There’s still time to donate!

We’re collecting gently used McCord and 4 Houses spiritwear through May 28. Every item helps us stock our $2 Spiritwear Pop-Up Shop this fall so more students can show their school pride.

Take another look through those closets and send in anything your student has outgrown. We appreciate your support!

Beat the heat and cool off with a popsicle these last few days and support a worthy cause! $1 per popsicle and 100% of proceeds go to Race for the Kids- a local non-profit that raises money for children with life-threatening illnesses. One recipient this year is a Sylvan student, so be sure to bring those dollars!

Today was McCord’s first (and hopefully not last) CHEESE DAY! 🧀

Huge thanks to Mark Charchar, our very own Cheese King, for trading in his House points to share his love of cheese with the school. It was a gouda day for everyone involved, and students were feeling pretty grate-ful for the tasty surprise!

You could say the whole event was legen-dairy. Here’s hoping this tradition has some real staying provolone! 🧀
