SFA Throwback:
This morning when I was making a pot of coffee, I emptied out the old grounds and immediately thought of Mrs. Perzynski and the worm bins. We used to empty our coffee grounds into the worm bins for compost.

Academic Honors and Awards: The following Franciscan Academy grads were recognized in a recent ceremony for outstanding academic achievement at St. Francis de Sales High School in the 2010-2011 school year: Joshua Caraballo (Social Studies); Joseph Granata (Science, Mathematics, Spanish); Connor Nowakowski (French); Zachary Vigneau (Theology, Science, Mathematics, Latin).

Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary: Thursday, Sept. 8th @ 1:15 PM here at FA. Reminder: Formal "summertime" uniform is required! That means your child does not need to wear long pants or the red Academy sweater until Oct. 1, but be sure s/he wears the formal shirt to mass tomorrow.
