Our 7th grade dance was truly a fairy tale come to life! From the decorations to the music to the smiles on our students’ faces, it was a magical evening they will remember. 💫

This special night would not have been possible without the incredible support of our volunteers and generous donors. Thank you for giving your time, creativity, and resources to make this event so successful. Your dedication makes all the difference!

In honor of National School Counselors’ Week last week, we celebrate these amazing school assets!

In the halls of Arbor Hills, where the vibes are... intense, And your math grade is making zero actual sense, When your social battery is hitting literal zero, Step into the office and meet a local hero.

First up is Mrs. Barricklow, the absolute GOAT, Keeping us steady while we’re all in the same boat. She’s got the wisdom, the patience, the grace, Helping us navigate this middle school space. If your schedule is mid or your stress is high, She’s the main character—no cap, no lie.

Then there’s Mr. Hede, keeping it 100% real, He understands exactly how a junior high-er feels. Whether you’re tweaking or just need a chat, He’s got the best advice—he’s cool like that. No gatekeeping here, he’s the ultimate guide, Helping us through the emotional slide.

And let’s be honest, the one who steals the show, The best black Lab that we’ll ever know. Storm is on duty, a Retriever through and through, He’s got 10/10 rizz and he’s looking at you. With that jet black fur and a heart of pure gold, He’s the best counselor that we’ll ever behold.

So here’s to the trio who keep us all sane, Through the friendship drama and the algebra pain. You’re the Ws in our day, the light in the dark, Shoutout to Barricklow, Hede, and Storm’s lovely bark!

Let’s be real: A hungry teacher is a brave teacher, but a fed teacher is a happy teacher. Conferences are coming up, and our Arbor Hills staff is about to spend a lot of hours talking. Out of an abundance of caution regarding the extreme winter vortex temperatures, we are postponing the 7th grade dance that was scheduled to take place tomorrow.

The bell rings out, the day is done,
Our Roadrunners dash, everyone!
We leave behind our crumbs and grime,
Like chaos frozen in space and time.

From spilled-out paint to paper shreds,
We've got the clutter stuck in our heads.
The lunchroom floor, a sticky sea,
A disaster zone for all to see.

But hold the phone! What's that we hear?
The whir of a buffer, drawing near!
It's you! The team! The Custodial Corps,
Who stop the mayhem and even the scores!

While our Roadrunner mascot takes a nap,
You're busting the dirt from every trap.
You sneak in at dusk, with gloves and spray,
And magically wipe the gross stuff away.

You fix the fountains, you change the lights,
You handle the strange, forgotten sights.
You move the bleachers, you stack the chairs,
Taking care of our midnight school affairs.

And speaking of help, the Parent Club sends our best!
We know our big events truly put you to the test.

You set up the tables, you manage the flow,
You make sure the campus is ready to go.
Thank you for helping us shine, event after event,
Your support is a gift, happily sent!

When the band concert's finished, and the confetti lies low,
You’re the swift, silent heroes who make the whole place glow!

So here's a cheer, loud as a honk-honk-WHEEP!,
For the team whose dedication runs so deep.
