Aspiring sports journalist and Highland 2nd Grader, Cooper Towns, is back at it with Cooper’s Corner! Season 2, Episode 1 features an interview with the Detroit Lions’ TE Sam LaPorta.

Thanks to Sam and everyone with the Lions for giving Cooper access to training camp and having the courage to take on his hard-hitting questions! You will certainly have a bunch of new fans in Sylvania, Ohio after people have a chance to see this!

Thanks to NIL deals from Crayola and Big League Chew, we signed the world’s BEST class of KinderCardinals! Chock full of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️s when it comes to being kind, safe, and focused! They will all be on campus together tomorrow, day one of a thirteen year journey for the Class of 2039. We can’t wait!

- Learning Lab Courtyard weeded and cleaned up? ✅
- Front marquee sign weeded? ✅
- Bus and recess line up spots painted? ✅
- Football field lined for recess? ✅
- Soccer field lined for recess? ✅
- GaGa Ball pit disassembled and ready to be put back together on the grass? ✅

Also, thank to the Harman, Rozek, Harsh, Pilbeam, Tankoos, and Boes families for helping to maintain the courtyard over the summer!

Tip of the 🧢 to Highland’s Team Captains! Students have earned ⭐️s over the past couple of years by taking in responsibilities related to tutoring younger students, being Bus Buddies, being a part of Oscar’s Care Team, the Recycling Rangers, Litter Patrol, Courtyard Keepers, Teachers’ Aides, Lost & Found Organizers, Recess Rangers, and Safety Patrol. From our 47 one ⭐️ Team Captains to our first ever ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Team Captains, Highland is better off thanks to your generosity, sense of responsibility, and leadership!

5th Grade Team Captains earn a tshirt that lines up with their level of service. Students who have not come to us to grab their t-shirt yet can stop in the Main Office this week or in August to pick up theirs.
