Congratulations to the 2027 Lourdes University Alumnus of the Year, Jonathan Farrell! Jonathan has long embodied the core values of Lourdes through his leadership, service, and commitment to community. As a dedicated member of the Alumni Association Board since 2018—and a two-time president—he has helped guide and strengthen alumni engagement with vision and purpose.
Professionally, Jonathan continues to give back to Lourdes as a faculty member and Chair of the Marketing Department, where he inspires students and advances innovation in the College of Business. His excellence in teaching was recognized with the 2025 Faculty of the Year Award.

Beyond campus, Jonathan serves his faith community with the same passion, sharing his time and talents through music and leadership.

Through every role he holds, Jonathan exemplifies integrity, service, and lifelong learning. His impact on Lourdes and the broader community reflects a deep and enduring commitment that will carry these values forward for years to come.

The Lourdes Alumni Association Will Continue!

While Lourdes University will officially close its doors at the end of the summer term, the spirit, mission, and community that defined Lourdes will continue to thrive through the Lourdes University Alumni Association.

For generations, Lourdes brought together students, faculty, staff, and alumni who shared a commitment to service, leadership, faith, and lifelong learning. Those values do not disappear with the closing of a campus. They live on in every graduate whose life was shaped by the Lourdes experience.
The Alumni Association remains fully active and committed to serving our alumni community just as it always has. We will continue to foster connections, celebrate accomplishments, share opportunities, preserve our cherished traditions, and support the lifelong bonds that make the Lourdes family so special.

This moment marks not an ending to our community, but a new chapter in our shared story.

Our goal is to make our alumni network strong, resilient, and deeply connected. Across countless professions, communities, and generations, Lourdes alumni continue to make meaningful contributions and carry forward the values instilled during their time at the University.

In the months and years ahead, the Alumni Association will continue offering alumni communications, events, networking opportunities, and ways to stay engaged with fellow graduates. Most importantly, we will continue honoring and preserving the extraordinary legacy of Lourdes University.

Though the Lourdes University campus will be closed, the Lourdes spirit endures — in our memories, in our friendships, and in the impact our alumni make every day.

The entire alumni board is dedicated to keeping the Alumni Association active. We four are representatives of the board who will answer any questions you have. As we prepare to close this final chapter of Lourdes history, we invite you to return to campus to celebrate the memories, connections, and spirit that have always made Lourdes more than a place. It has always been a community.

Whether you graduated recently or decades ago, we hope you will come back to campus, reconnect with fellow Gray Wolves, and be part of this meaningful moment in Lourdes history.

More than anything, this evening is about gratitude, community, and celebrating the people who made Lourdes what it has always been.
