Welcome to the Landmark Learning Campus! Set in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina. with over 40 acres of hilly, forested campus.

We have two buildings to serve our students:

The Downstream Campus, where it all began. This was the original classroom built in 2001. There are showers, restrooms and an outdoor cooking area.

The Upstream Campus was built to help accommodate larger class sizes. This state of the art building was built in 2016. There is a large communal kitchen and dining area, with plenty of restrooms and showers and an outdoor patio.

Summer isn't over until we say it's over! Make the most of your Labor Day weekend with our last Swiftwater Rescue course of the year. Spend two days in the cool waters of the Tuckasegee River, learning advanced rescue skills, river hazards, and accident prevention best practices, and you'll be better prepared for winter paddling. Become a WFR with only 5 days on-site! You can earn the same certification with the same rigorous NOLS standard, but more flexibility to learn the foundations. The hybrid WFR format is great for busy professionals, who aren't able to take 10 days off of work, or even previous WFRs whose certs may have lapsed and want to renew without a full 10 days of class. If you work well with self-paced learning and want to maximize hands-on skills training during in-person class, the Hybrid WFR is a perfect fit! Our next course is coming up on Aug. 31-Sept. 4.
