Hello Herrick Families,
The following are this week's updates and reminders:

1) Tuesday is early dismissal and school will be out at 1:09 p.m.

2) Tuesday we will have a parent support workshop for any parents that need assistance with signing up for the parent portal. It will be at 8:30 am in the parent center.

3) Thursday there is a PTA Association Meeting at 8:30 am. Topics include upcoming events and fundraisers. Please join us! All parents are invited. It will be in person in the parent center or you can join via zoom https://lausd.zoom.us/j/81622898279

4) We are a uniform school. Please make sure your child wears their uniform Monday through Thursday. We still have some uniforms available for purchase. Reach out to our community representative for uniform inquiries as well.

5) On Friday, students who have had 100% perfect attendance for the month of August will be receiving their "Do-nut Be Late!" donut treats at the end of the school day.

Good Afternoon Herrick Families
The following are this week's updates and reminders:

1) Labor Day is on Monday and schools will be closed. School resumes on Tuesday.

2) Tuesday is early dismissal and school will be out at 1:09 p.m.

3) Thursday we have a parent workshop titled "Building Community with Trusted Adults and Mental Health Supports." This meeting will be in the parent center and also available via zoom https://lausd.zoom.us/j/81622898279 Parents who attend will receive a blue tiger ticket to give to their child.

4) Don't forget to download the parent portal app to see your child's grades, apply to volunteer, sign consent forms and more! https://lausdapp.lausd.net/auth/landing Contact our community representative, Sarah Chavez if you need assistance.

5) We are a uniform school. Please make sure your child wears their uniform Monday through Thursday. We still have some uniforms available for purchase. Reach out to our community representative for uniform inquiries as well.

6) On Friday, we will have our Student and Citizen of the month assemblies in the auditorium. If your child has been selected, a paper invitation will be sent home with them. The times for the assemblies are as follows:
10:00- 2nd and 3rd grade 10:20- 4th and 5th grade 10:40-Pals, PSC, UTk, K, 1st grade

7) We still have space for more students in our Kinder and 1st grade classrooms.

8) Every Friday is Free Dress Day and students do not need to wear a uniform.

Hello Herrick Families,
The following are this week's updates and reminders:

1) Tuesday we have a Parent Presentation by Dr. Shin regarding the Healthy Start program at 8:30 am in the parent center. All are invited to come and learn about the resources her department provides to our families.

2) Tuesday is early dismissal and school will be out at 1:09 p.m.

3) Wednesday we have ELAC and SSC meetings for orientation and elections at 8:10 am in the parent center. These two councils are a great support to our school. We invite all parents to come check out the meeting and see if you would be interested in participating.

The LAUSD Strategic Plan for 2026-2030, Pillar 3D focuses on listening to stakeholders to incorporate family and staff feedback into school site and district-wide programming and decision-making. We encourage you to make a difference in the governance of our school by participating in this year’s School Site Council (SSC) and/or English Learner Advisory Committee.

Hello Herrick Families,
The following are this week's updates and reminders:

1) Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday we will be having a uniform sale in the parent center from 8:15-9:15 am. Sizes in stock are limited and will be sold as first come, first served. Parents who cannot make it to the sale, contact our community representative, Sarah Chavez if you would like to make a purchase during another time.

2) Tuesday is early dismissal and school will be out at 1:09 p.m.

3) Thursday we have Back to School Night. It will be in person from 2:30-3:00 pm. Parents may also attend virtually via zoom either at 5:30 or 6:00 pm. Your child's teacher will be sending information regarding zoom.
