Dear Miss Sylacauga Supporters. . .
Because of the generosity of Sylacauga-area businesses and citizens, Miss Sylacauga has remained one of Alabama’s strongest preliminary competitions for cash scholarships and in-kind donations. This support helps young women pursue their education while reducing the financial burden on them and their families. As the scholarship chairwoman, Anna Fay Comer, Miss Sylacauga 1968, knows firsthand the life-changing impact of this support: “My tuition at Birmingham-Southern was fully paid because of my involvement in the Miss Sylacauga and Miss Alabama programs.”
Community members and businesses can support the program in several ways, including the Maxye Veazey Patron’s Scholarship, the General Scholarship Fund, and in-kind donations. More information about each opportunity is included in the attached brochure images.
To participate, please complete the included Donor Form and return it, along with your logo if applicable, to [email protected] by September 20 to ensure recognition in the event program, on MissSylacauga.com, and on Miss Sylacauga social media outlets. Logos are requested for all business donors.
Donations may be submitted online at https://sylacauga.recdesk.com/Community/Program/Detail?programId=649, mailed by check, or delivered in person to Sylacauga Parks and Recreation at 2 West 8th Street, Sylacauga, AL 35150. Checks can be made payable to Sylacauga Parks and Recreation.
Please join us on October 3 to see who will become the next Miss Sylacauga and Miss Sylacauga’s Teen. Pre-sale event tickets will be available soon at MissSylacauga.com.
