These two… How in the world are they in seventh grade? They started school the year after I started working at BBCES. They have both accomplished so much through the years and I couldn’t be more proud. I am blessed to say that I was able to watch them grow and reach many milestones through the years. They do not realize this, but these two have taught me so much these past 6-7 years. I have watched these two jump through many hurdles that life has thrown at them. They have had a big part on molding me into the teacher that I am today. BBCES will not be the same without the “ck ck this way”s and the “nnope”s. These boys will truly be missed by this teacher! I will definitely keep in touch and I look forward to seeing what they will accomplish in high school. 🧩🥰🧩

My wonderful assistants got our students to make this canvas for me for teacher appreciation this year. They also made a photo book with lots of pictures from this school year. This year is different than most because four of my babies (two that I have had since they were 4) are moving up to the high school next year. I will be able to look back at these gifts and remember all the good times we had this year!

So many emotions this week as we are finishing up the 2023-2024 school year. I’m so proud of all of my babies! Each one has accomplished so much this year! Here are some pictures from awards day and some pictures of our 6th grade graduates!

We took our friends to the Talladega County Special Olympics this past week. I think it is safe to say that they had a great time! We started the day off with a great send off from the faculty and students at BBCES! The smiles on some of their faces as everyone was cheering for them was priceless!🥰 It was a great day full of everything that our students enjoy! 🍟Snacks… 🫧bubbles… 🏃running… 🥎playing… It is always neat watching everyone come together to make this day special for these wonderful students!

This week is para appreciation week! BBCES is BLESSED with the BEST! These five ladies work so hard to make sure each need is met for ALL of our students. The love that each one of them has for our students is shown daily as they sing, dance, and work with them. These ladies are always willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done! Thank you ladies for all of your hard work! Y’all are the best!!!

Last night was nothing short of amazing! We had a GREAT turnout at our first ever Sensory Friendly Dance. The smiles on the faces of our sweet friends says it all! Thank you to ALL that made this possible by your donations! We couldn’t have done it without your help!

Frosty’s Frozen Fantasy Funland was definitely a success today! The kiddos enjoyed every minute of it! Thank you everyone that had a part in making this event possible! It was wonderful opportunity for my kiddos!❄️☃️🎅🏼🎄
