This week marked the end of an era for this mama and her babies! After 7.5 years of Music Together classes with each of her 3 kids, birthday party jam sessions, Jingle Jams, countless songs, dances, laughs, and hugs, her soon to be kindergartener wrapped up her last class this past week. Cue all the tears! 😭😭😭
Heather Gotsch, you were my biggest cheerleader from day one. Thank you for championing music in your community and sharing your love for the program with so many friends and family. Syke’d Music wouldn’t be what it is without you and I am forever grateful. May your new era be filled with all the goodness you pour into your family and community! ❤️

The grandparents in our community are simply the cat’s meow! Week after week, month after month, in and out of every season- they show up. They pour their hearts, voices, and love into the very marrow of our little music makers. I wish you could’ve heard the grandad voices while we sang 4 part rounds yesterday. Deep, rich, bass notes added the most exquisite color to our harmony. Pure bliss!

After 4 years of Music Together classes, we shared one last “Goodbye Song” hug yesterday. 😭

Our first is forever one of my favorite memories. The parting words of the “Goodbye Song” invite kiddos to share a hug with their caregiver. I always open my arms in invitation too. One day tiny E ventured over for a hug. With shock on her face and tears in her eyes, E’s mom said I was the first person E hugged outside of her family. 🥹

Witnessing E’s confidence unfold, flourish, and take flight has been pure joy. This girl is ready for kindergarten and beyond!

The close of each session is always bittersweet. Nine weeks of jamming out to 25 different songs = confident kiddos eagerly singing, offering suggestions when prompted, dancing, laughing, and connecting with each other. Nothing brings me more joy than watching these music babies thrive and bloom! 🥹
