There was lots of excitement on Earth Day when we learned that Freedom had placed first for our region in the Trex Recycling Challenge. From 11/15/21 to 4/15/22, FES families and community members brought their plastic to Freedom. It was weighed, then dropped off at a recycling location. Freedom recycled 4,456 pounds of plastic in all. We will receive a Trex recycled bench as our prize. More importantly, this challenge showed us how much plastic we go through daily. A huge thank you to Melissa McGuiness, who signed us up for the program and came to school multiple times a week to pick up plastic and weigh it. 🌍 ♻️ 🌍

The highlight of my day was having a student choose the prize of reading to the principal. The kids are the biggest reason I love my job!!

Great job to all the Freedom students who participated in Battle of the Books! It was awesome to see so many kids excited about reading. Thank you to Ms. Yohe, CCPL and our parent coaches for supporting the kids. Congrats to the Diva Warriors for their third place finish.📕📗📘📙

Freedom students enjoyed a visit from Reptile World and Mr. Michael today. We met lots of fascinating reptiles including a 15 foot long albino Burmese python. Thank you to our PTA for bringing this awesome assembly to FES.

Our lost and found is overloaded with sweatshirts and jackets. If your child is missing something, please encourage them show their Braggin’ Dragon responsibility and stop by the lost and found to look for their item.
