And one more concert opportunity this weekend for Sycamore Orchestra families! The Elgin Symphony Orchestra will also have a concert this Saturday and Sunday. The orchestra features Sycamore Orchestra alum Grace Heintz in the the String Bass sections! So many choices this weekend! Hope you are able to attend one of these fine orchestras!!!

Stravinsky spent most of his career insisting his music was not about anything. Then, late in life, he admitted that his Symphony in Three Movements was tied in his mind to the Second World War, from wartime documentary footage he had seen to the closing chord, which he connected to the Allied victory. He wrote it in Los Angeles between 1942 and 1945. Hear it October 10 and 11.
