Although we didn't make it all the way to the Redwood National Park last month, we were still able to enjoy more than one state park and take in the beauty of these amazing trees. We are hoping to experience the Redwood National Park in the near future.

Not pictured this time but one of our close favorites is the Grand Canyon National Park.

Maybe you haven’t realized how much time you're spending inside each day. Let this week find you spending more time outside, the way we were designed to live. Maybe you'll even get a chance to visit a National Park.

August 25th is the National Park Service's birthday 🎂 and they are offering free admission for U.S. citizens and residents at sights that normally charge entrance fees.😉

What's YOUR favorite National Park?

Balance is a strong functional indicator of longevity and healthy aging. It is something you can do for free, right in your home, without any equipment. It's true when they say, "Use it or lose it". Balance is critical for healthy aging.😉 You don't want to lose it.

Anyone who knows me, knows I carry this water bottle with me all day, everywhere I go. I have created a habit over the years to stay hydrated and enjoy water as part of my health plan to improve ENERGY, aid in digestion, flush out waste, move nutrients through my blood, lubricate joints, BOOST BRAIN POWER🧠, and help control body temperature.

Did you know most people are walking around dehydrated? Just be aware and start paying more attention to avoid dehydration. Water-rich foods like fruits and vegetables provide about 20% of your daily daily water intake and help keep yoyr body hydrated.

Remember to stay hydrated! Your health depends on it😉.

repost from Dr. Rhonda Patrick Should you still exercise if you’re sleep deprived?

In most cases, yes. Just don’t make it your hardest workout.

A single night of insufficient sleep can worsen insulin sensitivity and increase inflammatory signaling. But studies suggest physical activity can help blunt some of those effects.

Long-term data also show that people sleeping fewer than 7 hours per night tend to have higher mortality risk, yet among people meeting physical activity guidelines, much of that excess risk appears to be attenuated.

This does not mean you can exercise your way out of chronic sleep deprivation. Sleep is still foundational. But after the occasional bad night, some movement may be one of the better things you can do, even if exercise is often the last thing you feel like doing.

Are you low on ENERGY? Well, if you have been experiencing stress...and who doesn't, it could be part of the problem.

When your body goes into the stress response of "fight-or-flight", it releases hormones like adrenaline and cortisol that push extra GLUCOSE into your blood for quick energy. Stress is not the only thing that raises blood sugar.

Foods like candy 🍬, ice-cream 🍨, cake🎂, donuts 🍩, and cookies can raise your blood sugar and rob you of energy but so can some unsuspecting foods.

When you eat refined (processed) white bread, standard bagels, white pasta, and white rice, you are losing the benefits of fiber and nutrients during the processing. They break down in your body like simple sugars.

They can cause a fast rise in blood sugar and ENERGY drops later!

Choosing real food with fiber, unprocessed, and only a few ingredients, can help solve this problem.

Be sure to ask for the following labs to see how your BLOOD SUGAR is doing in the big picture and what part it may be playing in low energy.

⚡️Fasting Insulin
⚡️HbA1c
⚡️Fasting Glucose

Yet another ENERGY ZAPPER lab you can request if your doctor hasn't tested your CORTISOL yet!

CORTISOL, the stress hormone can cause drops in B12, B6, and magnesium. All three of these provide ENERGY!

My client had high cortisol and her B12 was on the lower end so it is highly probable stress is playing a role. We have started exploring and discussing ways she can lower her cortisol(manage stress) and improve her B12 for more energy.

BE EMPOWERED! Print your labs and take ownership so you can figure out why you are fatigued and dragging every day. Too many people want to accept the old saying they are just getting old so this is part of it. It doesn't have to be. Don't settle for feeling less than your very best.😉

This post is meant to piggyback on what I shared yesterday about the Levothyroxine recall. If you want the THYROID information mentioned in the video, head to the original post and respond there 😉 to Dr. Stephanie Dunlop, MD | Physician & Functional Health Coach

Repost from Dr. Stephanie Dunlop, MD | Physician & Functional Health Coach If you’re on levothyroxine, there’s a nationwide recall right now, and most women taking it don’t know if they’re affected.

P.S. Comment THYROID below and I will DM you access to my full thyroid panel guide.

Major Pharmaceuticals recalled levothyroxine sodium tablets across 12 product lines and 7 dosage strengths after the FDA found them subpotent, delivering less medication than labeled.

Check your lot number with your pharmacy.

And once you do, remember TSH alone was never built to catch a conversion problem either.

Free T3 and Reverse T3 are what actually show whether your body is using what you’re taking.

repost from McCall McPherson PA-C we love a good flashback… and it’s still true yall!

(Never mind my spelling error. Check your thyroid medication NOW!)

Levothyroxine is one of the most widely prescribed thyroid medications and YOU could be suffering if your prescription was on the recall list.

Check with your pharmacist or look it up. If you have been taking a recalled dosage, you will probably need to see your P*P for new labwork to find out how your thyroid has been functioning.

Please share this information with family and friends.

08/11/2026

Be sure to explore your thyroid labs if you are low on energy since your thyroid can be part of the problem. Just make sure to get the full picture by requesting a FULL THYROID panel.

So how do you improve low free T3? It depends on each individual 🤔 and is a great discussion for you to have with your doctor.

Possibilities?

Are you eating enough calories? Low-calorie diets or extreme fasting can signal the body to slow metabolism and suppress free T3 production.

How is your protein intake? Protein at each meal is critical to supply the building blocks necessary for hormone transport and function.

Foods like Brazil nuts, wild fish, or eggs can support the enzymes that convert T4 to free T3.

Zinc found in beef, pumpkin seeds, or shellfish can improve thyroid receptor sensitivity and hormone conversion.

How about STRESS? High cortisol from chronic stress blocks the conversion of T4 into active free T3 . Daily relaxation techniques like meditation 🧘‍♀️ or deep breathing can help manage stress.

A healthy and well-supported thyroid can do wonders for daily ENERGY ✨️!
