Shout out to DeKalb School District 428 Superintendent, Mr. Billy Hueramo, for being such a good sport! We think he looks pretty good in Black & Gold 🖤💛 We'll see you in January for the FNBO Challenge, basketball edition!

It was a hard-fought game with a friendly wager. In the end, Sycamore got the FNBO Challenge 'W.' Mr. Hueramo is a man of his word. Here's to a great fall season of sport and activities. We'll also look forward to January's challenge and a special Barb shirt for Dr. Campbell's wardrobe!

🎉 What a night celebrating a Sycamore legend!

It was a fantastic evening for John Garman’s 89th birthday. John is an IHSA Super Fan Hall of Famer and has made an incredible impact on many generations of Sycamore Spartan athletes and our community. 💛🖤

A special thank you to Coach Klock, Coach Ryan, Coach Graves, Coach Cavanaugh, Coach Jordan, Coach Wright, and Mr. Carlson for making the celebration so special!

Happy 89th Birthday, John! Here’s to celebrating a true Spartan legend! 🎂🏆

Infinite Campus is currently experiencing a nationwide outage. Therefore, parents/guardians cannot use the Absence Request Process through Infinite Campus. Please report absences by calling your student's school directly. We will let you know once service resumes.

On Monday, August 24, 2026, there is a Board of Education Policy Committee Meeting at 6:00 PM and a Board of Education Special Meeting at 7:30 PM. On Tuesday, August 25, there is a Board of Education Meeting at 6:00 PM. All meetings will be held at Sycamore Middle School, 150 Maplewood Drive, in Sycamore. The public is welcome to attend in person.

Due to inclement weather, the FNBO Challenge has been postponed to tomorrow, Saturday, August 22, 2026 at DeKalb High School at 501 W. Dresser Road in DeKalb.

Freshman Football will kick off at 4:00 PM, followed by Varsity Football at 6:30 PM. There will not be a Parade of Athletes as part of the rescheduled events.

Thank you to our community for your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students, families, staff, and community.

UPDATE as of 5:26 PM: The Parade of Athletes at 6:15 PM has been canceled. At this time, the Varsity Football Game at 7:00 PM is on as scheduled. We will update any future changes as the information becomes available.

Due to current weather conditions, the freshman football game at the FNBO Challenge is postponed at this time. A new date will be announced soon.

The Parade of Athletes at 6:15 PM and the Varsity Football Game at 7:00 PM are ON as scheduled.

We look forward to seeing our Spartans and Barbs at Huskie Stadium tonight. Please continue to stay tuned for any additional updates.

Calling all students and families... please review the information below from Sycamore Police Department regarding E-bikes and E-scooters in our community. Ride smart, be safe!

🍂 Fall is all about education — and getting ready for what’s coming in 2027! 🚲🛴

The Sycamore Police Department will be focusing on education and awareness of the new Illinois e-bike and e-scooter laws throughout the fall. Our goal is to help riders understand the current rules, ride safely, and share the road.

📅 Important change coming January 1, 2027: New Illinois requirements will take effect for e-bikes and e-scooters.

Between now and January, officers will be focused on educating riders, answering questions, and addressing violations when necessary — giving everyone an opportunity to understand the law.

🚲 Know the law. Ride safely. Share the road.
