We have officially kicked off the 2026 WRV Soccer fundraiser! Our program will be selling banners again in exchange for donations to help support our teams (WSA, JH Girls, JH Boys, HS Girls, HS Boys). The banners are hung on the fence at the high school, which is great marketing and advertising for businesses due to the high traffic volume on the highway. We had 27 sponsors last year that helped us purchase new uniforms, gear, and equipment for our program.

WRV Soccer is proud to announce the inaugural recipients of the Matthew Sams WRV Soccer Scholarship. This year, we are honored to recognize five senior student-athletes who have represented our program with heart, leadership, and commitment—qualities that Matthew exemplified every single day.

Matthew’s impact on our program was immediate and unforgettable. From his energy and leadership to his presence on and off the field, he helped shape a season we will never forget. While we continue to honor his memory, we are grateful to celebrate these seniors who carry his legacy forward.

In addition, we are proud to share that proceeds from our Pink Night soccer matches this past season have been donated to Susan G. Komen – Go Pink for the Cure. Thank you to everyone who supported this cause and helped make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.

⚽️ WRV Soccer Field Improvements ⚽️

We are working to install an irrigation system on the WRV Soccer game field to improve playing conditions for our junior high and high school girls & boys teams, as well as to continue hosting Sectional matches.

Also, we are looking for areas to have full size practice fields. Our four teams and feeder program (WSA) currently don’t have regulation size fields to train on.

Thanks to an initial donation, we’re underway—but we need corporate sponsors to help make these dreams become a reality for our kids.

⚽️ Both girls and boys teams ranked in the ISCA Top 20 state rankings for 2nd straight season
⚽️ 1st Sectional championship for HS girls
⚽️ 2nd straight Sectional championship for HS boys
⚽️ 1 of 15 schools in the state (283 girls teams, 312 boys teams) in Class 1A, 2A, & 3A to win both girls and boys Sectional championships in the same season

It was a record breaking 2025 season and our players are ready to go make more history in 2026!

WRV Soccer was well represented today at the Indiana Elite North vs. South College Showcase in Indianapolis. We had 3 players on the South team for the freshmen and sophomores game that included CJ, Jackson, and Memphis. Also, we had 2 players on the South team for the juniors and seniors game that included Charles and Noah. Congrats to all the boys on being selected and playing!!

We are excited to announce that we had 10 players make the ISCA (Indiana Soccer Coaches Association) Academic All-State team! This award is for juniors or seniors that meet GPA qualifications.

Congrats to Alea Beck, Madison Dimbath, Miah Duncan, Leia Fulford, Ashlyn Inman, Payton LaFever, Charles Linneweber, John Powers, Molly Settles, and Ella Welsh!

This is our 6th year in a row with players on the academic all-state team, which is a credit to our kids that work hard in the classroom. Congrats again to all our players on this big honor!!

⚽️ ISCA ALL-DISTRICT ⚽️

We are excited to announce that we had two players make the ISCA (Indiana Soccer Coaches Association) All-District teams! This is a huge accomplishment as the ISCA District 4 is made up of approximately 70 schools in Class 1A, 2A, and 3A across southern Indiana.

MaKenna LaFever made the girls 1st team after finishing the 2025 season with 39 goals and 4 assists. She helped lead the girls team to a 15-1-1 record and their first ever Sectional championship.

Charles Linneweber made the boys 2nd team after finishing the 2025 season with 17 goals and 9 assists. He helped lead the boys team to a 15-3 record and their 2nd straight Sectional championship.

Final Score - Regional #23

HS Girls: #20 WRV 0 - #3 Providence 9

The high school girls season came to an end this evening in the Regional semi-finals against Providence. The girls battled hard against the state runner-up from last season while dealing with several hurt and injured players. The team finishes at 15-1-1, which sets the record for most wins in a season. Congrats to the girls on a great year, as well as our only senior (Ella) on a great career!
