Hey all! I am so sorry for not catching the typo on the information flyer for our Intro to Ag students.

The meeting is tomorrow, Thursday, August 13th, beginning at 2:00 PM in the Ag Room.

This is more than just a meeting—it’s an opportunity for students to jump in and serve as members of our Back-to-School Fundraiser! Students will help by filling out tournament brackets, working the concession stand, assisting with registration, or refereeing games throughout the event. It’s a great way to get involved, meet other members, and get an event under their belt before the school year officially kicks off.

If you or your student have any questions, please stop by the Ag Classroom during Back-to-School Night this evening. I’d be happy to visit with you!

The countdown to a new school year is officially on! 🌽💙💛

If you’re enrolled in Introduction to Agriculture this year, we have a fun opportunity for you before school even begins!

On August 13th, our Swink FFA Chapter will be hosting a fundraiser, and while you are absolutely not required to help, we’d love to have you join us if you’re interested. It’s a great way to get your first FFA event under your belt, meet other members, get to know your ag teachers, and see what being part of our chapter is all about.

Hey everyone!

As our tournament gets closer, we’d love to get a better idea of how many teams to expect so we can make sure we’re prepared to support everyone coming out to compete.

If you’re planning to attend, please send us a message here and let us know your team is coming! It really helps us plan and make this a great event for everyone.

Also, if you have any concession stand requests, we’d love to hear those too! We’re always open to ideas.

We hope to see you there and can’t wait to host this fun event as we kick off the new school year. Thank you all for your support—we’re excited to see everyone!

Did you miss us? Because we've definitely missed you!

We wanted to kick off the new school year the best way we know how—with a little friendly competition and a whole lot of fun!

Join us for our Co****le Tournament featuring a rodeo jackpot-style payout! A portion of the entry fees will support Swink FFA, while the remaining payout will depend on the number of teams entered. Will it pay 1st through 3rd? Will it all go to one lucky champion? You'll have to show up to find out!

We'll also have our concession stand open with a Walking Taco meal special, so come hungry!

Whether you're playing or just coming to cheer everyone on, we'd love to see you there as we celebrate the start of another great school year. Bring your friends, bring your family, and let's make it a great evening while supporting Swink FFA!

You know how I’m usually really bad about taking pictures of things? Well, I still am 🙃, but I’m getting better… kind of.

Last week, we celebrated the 98th Colorado State FFA Convention, where we all “Illuminated Our Calling.”

As an advisor, my cup was refilled by being surrounded by so many amazing members and advisors. Watching the excitement throughout the convention reminded me that not too long ago, I was sitting front and center in that same sea of blue.

Being with the Swink kids is always a blast. They have a way of illuminating even my darkest days and reminding me why I love what I do. They give me hope and excitement for the continued growth and success of our chapter.

To the 2025-2026 State Officer Team, it was truly a privilege to know and learn from each of you. Thank you for your leadership and dedication to Colorado FFA.

And to the 2026-2027 State Officer Team, we are excited to work alongside you this year. We are especially proud to have our district represented by a hometown member from Manzanola. Congratulations, and we can’t wait to see all that you accomplish!

The Swink FFA Chapter extends our deepest condolences to the Manzanola FFA Chapter during this incredibly difficult time.

We are heartbroken alongside you as you mourn the loss of a truly remarkable young leader. Their passion, dedication, and impact on those around them will not be forgotten. The legacy he leaves behind will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Please know that your entire chapter, school, and community are in our thoughts. We stand with you in support, strength, and sympathy.

While we wait on professional photos, I’m not going to make you wait to hear about our students’ outstanding results!

Farm Business Management gave it their all, with Jocelynn James earning a bronze placing.

Food Science showed up and showed out, with Trista Tomky earning gold and the team—Mollie Schreivogel, Aislynn Martin, and Analeia Hand—bringing home a bronze.

Milk Quality had an incredible day—Carter Pickering earned gold, Ethan Lockhart took silver, and the team, along with Miles Turner and Taven Romero, secured a silver placing and some new hardware for our trophy case.

Livestock may not have placed, but with only Keegan Martin representing us, we are incredibly proud of his commitment and effort.

Floriculture absolutely shined! Katie Pickering, Sabryna Su, and Jennifer Gardner each earned gold individually—and as a team!

We are so proud of all our students for their time, dedication, and energy representing us at CSU Fort Collins. What a beautiful day to be a Lion 🦁

Animal Science got a little creative this year when it came to practicing vaccines… and let’s just say it was a game changer 👏

We worked through the three main routes of administration—subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous—but ditched the usual methods for something a little more hands-on (and a LOT less messy than chicken breast 😅).

A Ziploc bag became our “skin” for subcutaneous injections.
A hotdog bun stepped in as muscle for intramuscular.
And hidden inside each bun? A straw acting as a vein—placed differently every time, so no two were alike. For IV, students had to actually find the vein before giving their injection.

Safe to say… they were locked in 🔍💉

The best part? Student feedback said it finally clicked—they could truly picture what’s happening and felt more confident doing it.

We love finding ways to make learning stick (without the mess 😉)
