We saved the best for last on our PAM line up! Today’s PAM Bijou Barry ‘23. Bijou is a environmental science, philosophy, and economics triple major. Bijou just got back from a semester abroad in South Africa, and we are so happy to our lead PAM back with us!

Fourth on the PAM line up is Nishu Hoque ‘25! Nishu is a math and engineering double major with a business minor. In addition to being a PAM, she is a member of the Culture Club and is a part of the Outdoor Program. Nishu knows six languages and loves chocolate! She is looking forward to being more active with events and sharing useful resources with students.

Next up on the PAM line up is Drew Wood ‘24! Drew is a psychology and math double major. In addition to being a PAM, she is a member of the FAN Club and a member of Crafty Vixens. Drew hates bagels and is looking forward to getting to act as a resource for SBC students!

Today’s PAM is Margaret Lewis ‘24! Margaret is a business major with an English/creative writing minor and is getting the Equine Studies Management Certificate. In addition to being a PAM, she is the Student Life office assistant and is on the Red Clay board. Margaret runs the .of.sbc account, so if you know any cute dogs on campus send them her way!

This week we’re spotlighting our Peer Academic Mentors!

Our first PAM is Julia Jessen ‘24! Julia is a math and economics double major. In addition to being a PAM, she is the president of the Student ESA Committee, co-president of QVs, vice president of Internal Affairs for CEO, and a Student Engagement Ambassador.

Julia loves to cook and bake and is looking forward to hosting fun events for everyone to attend!

The First Student Success Program (FYSSP) students moved in on Thursday! Move in ended with a game night with the PAMs. Friday, they took a walk to the Sweet Briar burial grounds to learn about the Invisible Founders. Then the students wrote letters to themselves to help them remember their why.
