Sweeny ISD is excited to announce our partnership with UTMB Health to provide TCHATT services for our students.

Students can receive FREE mental health services from experts in childhood trauma through the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) program.

Congratulations to Sweeny High School senior Joshua Hillman for receiving a $3,200 National Honor Society scholarship. He was chosen from more than 11,000 applicants for this honor and is the first Sweeny High School NHS member to ever receive the scholarship. Way to go Joshua!

Due to forecasted winter weather and hazardous road conditions, the Brazosport College campus will close at 4 p.m. today, Thursday, February 3, 2022, and remain closed through Friday, February 4, 2022. All Brazosport College classes starting at 4 p.m. or later, today, February 3, 2022, are cancelled.

The Bill & Julia May Children’s Center will be closed Friday, February 4, 2022. Parents should make every attempt possible to pick up their child by 4 p.m. today, Thursday, February 3, 2022.

The Brazosport College Board of Regents Workshop is cancelled for tomorrow, Friday, February 4, 2022. The Board of Regents Special Meeting scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022 will proceed as scheduled.
