Hey Sweeny FFA!! My name is Riley Upham and words cannot express how excited and grateful I am to be serving as your chapter president this year! A little bit about me is that I compete in agricultural skills and wool judging. I am also currently serving as your South-West District Student Advisor. But my favorite thing to do is produce and show beefmaster cattle! I can’t wait to see YOU at our first meeting tonight, let’s make this the best year yet!!

Don’t forget that tonight is also entry night for BCFA, and we will be collecting items for homemade dog toys!

Hi, my name is Skyllar Way, and I am honored to serve as your 2026-2027 Vice President. I compete on the Radio Broadcasting LDE Team, and I also compete on the Horse Judging CDE Team. In my free time I love to be outside with my horses, hang out with my friends, play card games, and spend time with my family. I am super excited for this year! Hey everyone!! My name is McKayla Mears and I am so excited to be serving as the 26-27 Secretary!! I’ve been in FFA since I was in the third grade and I adore it sooo much!
In FFA, I compete in Creed speaking and I’ve been showing Charolais heifers for 7 years. FFA is the best club I have ever joined! And in exactly 6 days you can see if it’s the fit for you!!
Outside of agriculture, I compete in powerlifting for the high school and advanced to regionals last year!
I’ve done barrel racing, livestock judging, and played just about every sport. I love to help young kids finding their place in all things ag and I hope to bring my dedication and passion for FFA to our chapter this year.💙🌼

💙💛 Hey everyone! I’m Scarlett Fletcher, a junior at SHS, and I’m excited to serve as the 2026–2027 Sweeny High School FFA Treasurer!

I’m a third-year member of the Belles, and I enjoy spending time with my friends, being involved at school, and making the most of every opportunity that comes my way.

Outside of school, I love riding my horse and spend my weekends working for a barrel racing production company.

I’m looking forward to being more involved in our FFA chapter, serving our members, and making this a great year for everyone. I’m excited for all the opportunities, memories, and experiences this year will bring!

Hi! My name is Luke Hunt and I am your 26-27 FFA Reporter. A little about me is that I am on the FFA bbq team and we have made it to state every year and I hope to go this year too. In FFA I do the Wildlife CDE and I am hoping to do job interview at LDEs this year. Our first FFA meeting is on August 17 and all parents and kids are welcomed. I am Mason Fuller, the sentinel! This year, I am most excited about being more involved in FFA and getting to make new memories with my chapter. I’m excited to help plan events, work with the other officers, and meet and connect with more FFA members. I’m also looking forward to trying new things, learning more about leadership, and becoming more confident as an officer. Most of all, I’m excited to help make this a fun and successful year for our chapter and to see what we can accomplish together.

The first FFA Meeting of the year is Monday, August 17th ! Membership is open and everyone is welcomed!!! Any Sweeny ISD student in 3rd-12th grade can join FFA! **High school students must be enrolled in an ag class to join
While the students are meeting, parents and supporters are invited to join our Sweeny FFA Alumni meeting at 6:30pm.
We'll also do BCFA entries and will have a notary present!
Both meetings will be held in the CTE Center/Ag Lab of the high school. See ya there!! 🤩💙💛

What an incredible week at the Texas FFA Convention! 💙💛

Our officer team had an amazing time connecting with FFA members from across the state, learning from inspiring leaders, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

We're thankful for the opportunity to represent Sweeny FFA and can't wait to bring what we've learned back to our chapter. Here's to continuing to lead, serve, and make a difference!
