Good Morning, VLC Family!

We are so excited to welcome everyone back for the 2026–2027 school year! We can’t wait to get started on Monday, August 31st!

As many of you know, our building underwent an extensive remodel over the summer, and we are thrilled to share our beautiful new space with you! As with any major renovation, we have experienced a few unexpected delays along the way. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we put the finishing touches on our new home.

Please note: VLC students’ first day of face-to-face learning will be Tuesday, September 1st as a full day of school starting at 7:30.

Edmentum classes will be available beginning Monday, August 31st, so students who are ready to get started are welcome to begin working on their classes that day.

New VLC students: Mrs. Ferris will begin reaching out to you today to schedule your orientation. We are looking forward to meeting you and helping you get started!

We are excited about the year ahead and all the possibilities it brings. Let’s make it a great year together!

Dear Swartz Creek Families,

This is a reminder that transportation requests for the 2026-2027 school year must be completed by Friday, August 21.

If your child will be riding a school bus this school year or attending AM and/or PM Latchkey, please carefully review the Transportation Instructions linked below and complete the required Transportation Change Request form in your PowerSchool/PowerParent account.

Important reminders:

• You must answer “YES” to the question asking if your student needs transportation. If YES is not selected, your child will not be assigned to a bus.

• Complete the form carefully, selecting the appropriate transportation option (AM, PM, or both) and the correct pick-up/drop-off location.

• Transportation requests may take up to 5 business days to be processed and assigned.

The Transportation Instructions also include information about setting up StopFinder, the district’s bus tracking app, as well as transportation instructions for students attending AM and/or PM Latchkey.
