🐑🌿 Our kindergartners took their learning on the road today with a field trip to Stonewall Farm!

From the bus ride to exploring the trails and meeting and petting the sheep, there was so much to see and do! These photos capture some of the curiosity, excitement, and fun along the way.

Buddy time brings our Husky Pups together! 💚🐾

Mrs. Tardiff’s fourth graders and Mrs. Vos’s kindergartners spent time getting to know one another and enjoying some fun together. These connections give our older students a chance to be role models and our younger students some familiar faces to look for around school!

🎃 What a beautiful evening for our Pumpkin Carving Family Night!

A HUGE shout-out to our district maintenance staff, who spent the morning cutting the tops off nearly 600 pumpkins! That’s a whole lot of pumpkins, and we’re so grateful for your time and hard work!

Thank you to our amazing Mount Caesar staff for everything you did to make this evening possible, from prepping and setting up to helping throughout the event and cleaning up afterward. We appreciate every helping hand!

And a big thank-you in advance to the volunteers who will pick up our pumpkins on Friday and transport them to the Keene Pumpkin Festival! Keep an eye out for a map we’ll share so you can find your pumpkins at the festival. 🎃

Today I had the pleasure of being an invited guest in Mrs. Thayer’s second grade classroom as students shared their writing, “The Best Part of Me.” Each student wrote about their favorite part of themselves and explained why it was special to them. 💚

It was such a wonderful opportunity to listen to their ideas and get to know them a little better through their own words. Thank you, Mrs. Thayer and our second grade authors, for welcoming me and sharing the best parts of YOU!

🏕️ Welcome to Camp Nelson!

Yesterday, Miss Nelson’s first graders celebrated an earned classroom reward with a camping adventure right in their classroom! From a scavenger hunt and sight word searches with magnifying glasses to lantern lit work and pretend campfires, there were plenty of opportunities to learn and let their imaginations roam.
These happy campers worked hard to earn their special day. Thank you, Miss Nelson, for bringing the adventure to life! 🧡

New buddies, new friendships! 🐾💛

Ms. Germain’s and Ms. Nelson’s third and first grade classes met yesterday for their first buddy activity! Each student colored half of a picture, then paired it with their buddy’s half to create one finished masterpiece. 🖍️🎨

🎨✨ Our first graders took inspiration from Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night to create their own colorful skies using Cray-Pas oil pastels!

They also explored color mixing by layering yellow and red, two primary colors, to create the secondary color orange. Art and discovery go hand in hand! 🟡🔴🟠
