SENIORS: PARKING LOT PAINTING UPDATE!
Alright, Seniors... Mother Nature has decided to make our annual Senior Parking Lot Painting tradition a little more interesting this year!
Looking at the forecast, this week is going to be a bit of a roller coaster. With rain possible throughout the week, we are going to have to be flexible. Today is looking like a wash, and the last thing I want is for you to spend a ton of money on paint and supplies only to have the weather ruin it.
So here is the plan...
Come in this morning, claim your spot, and get it approved. Once your spot is approved, you can paint it when the weather cooperates and when it works for you. No need to rush and try to get everything done today.
🎨 HERE'S THE GAME PLAN:
🅿️ CLAIM YOUR SPOT: Come in this morning, and Mr. Horen or I will help you select and approve your spot. You will write your name on the spot that you have picked to secure your area.
🚫 KNOW WHERE YOU CAN'T PARK: The front rows are off-limits, and you cannot select a spot between the main light poles. We will have caution tape around the center area that is not available.
🌧️ WATCH THE WEATHER: Once your spot is approved, work on it when you see fit. We know the weather may force you to work around the rain.
⏰ DON'T STRESS ABOUT 3:00: I am giving you some flexibility this week. I trust you. If you need to work after 3:00 p.m., use common sense and make good decisions.
🧹 CLEAN UP YOUR SPACE: Every day when you leave, take ALL of your supplies with you. Do not leave paint, brushes, decorations, or other materials in the parking lot overnight. We don't want anything getting taken, damaged, or ruined by the weather. Please also make sure you clean up any trash or mess before you leave.
🤝 RESPECT EVERYONE'S SPACE: Stay within your approved spot and respect what your classmates are creating.
⭐ MOST IMPORTANTLY...
Don't go out and spend a fortune on paint today!
Get your spot approved. Keep an eye on the forecast. Pick a time that works. And then make your spot YOUR spot.
This is one of those Senior traditions that you will remember long after you leave Swanton High School. So let's have some fun with it and make the Class of 2027 parking lot something we can all be proud of!
Mr. Horen and I will be here this morning to get you set up. Come see us!
Let's get this Senior year started the right way!
As Always, Go Bulldogs! 🐾💜
