Love our decorative stitches!
Close up of decorative stitches by the Epic 2
I colored this outline embroidery a few years ago, and finally added a quick border to finish my wall hanging. I use the Inktense pencils, and sometimes fabric medium but mostly water. I wanted to make a pillow out of it but it is too bulky to travel with. I need to add a little quilting to the background still.
Underwater sea, just waiting for some ribbon embroidery!
I had so much fun today! I used a design in mysewnet Library that was from long ago to create this fun little gnome! Before you know it, there may be a whole family. The original was not a 3D design but I turned it into one. This one has one blinking eye but the next one will have two eyes! Click on the picture for a better look.
Fun with Laser Pictogram stitches!

Applique stitches are another great reason to love our Husqvarna Viking sewing machines!
Attach the S Foot and engage the needle stop down.
Place stabilizer behind the fabric.
Sew until the machine stops; place small piece of fabric under the foot behind the needle, resting the fabric against the needle; sew until machine stops and repeat the length of desired stitches.
Trim excess fabric from around the stitches. (This Stitch technique is only built into select HUSQVARNA VIKING models)
Tip: Fuse INSPIRA™️ Fusible Web to the appliqué fabric prior to stitching so that it can be fused after being trimmed. This will help prevent fraying.

Specialty bobbin case gives you a chance to use heavier decorative threads, ribbons and yarns.
Have you used the Specialty Bobbin Case?
Wind the bobbin slowly or by hand depending on decorative thread thickness or yarn and adjust the tension of the bobbin case with a screwdriver.
Remove the standard bobbin case and replace with the Specialty Bobbin Case; insert bobbin wound with specialty thread.
Turn the fabric right side down and sew the desired length of stitches.
Tips & Hints: The tension on the bobbin case can be bypassed completely if it is still too large to go into the bobbin tension.

A great little video about how to sew the sequin stitches. Set you needle to the down position. When the Designer Epic stops for you to put the sequin in place, pull the sequin into place. Tap your foot pedal and the pressure foot will lower and your needle will raise and move to the next stitch. Turn your hand wheel toward you and lower the neddle into the center of the sequin. Adjust the position of the sequin if needed. Touch the START/STOP button to finish the stitch and start the next sequin stitch. This will give you much more control and ensure beautiful results

Yarn stitches are different from Yarn Couching. Use the Yarn Embellishing foot and stitches from the Yarn Embellishing stitches from the P menu!
Let’s play with yarn stitches!
1) Puddle yarn behind the machine, running it through the yarn guides and through the Yarn Embellishment Foot.
2) Attach the Yarn Embellishment Foot and thread the needle with matching thread.
3) Place stabilizer behind your fabric.

A good video on how to set up and usew the 7 hole cord foot. We have lots of fun stitches that work with this foot and the 3 hole yarn foot!
Have you used the 7 Hole Cording Foot?
Thread the 7 Hole Cording Foot with cords using a needle threader, or a dental flosser can be used; attach the foot.
Place stabilizer under the fabric.
Select a decorative stitch to couch down the cords; hold the cords taut when sewing to avoid them knotting up.

This cutwork clutch is a project I created for an event a couple of years ago. It is a fun way to learn how to put designs together to create a new design and learn how to use the cutwork needles. If you have the Epic you can read more about how to use cutwork needles in embroidery by looking at the techniques and tutorials about it in the JoyOS advisor and then following the instructions for the project. If you have other machines you will to use the completed design and make it smaller because it is meant for the 360 x 260 hoop.
The new quilt binding accessory!
The new Quilt Binder Attachment simultaneously folds your bias binding while guiding it underneath your sewing foot to make attaching your bias an easy one-step process! If you have an Epic or an Icon, you can make the larger one for the 360 x 260 hoop, and if you have a Diamond, Ruby or Topaz 50 you can use the design for the 360 x 200 hoop. I posted this link awhile ago, but new viewers wanted it posted again.
