Captured here on the set of Douglas Hickox's classic crime thriller 'Brannigan', this is John Wayne like you've rarely seen him — not in the dusty deserts of Monument Valley, but in the foggy, rainy streets of London. A true American cowboy in the heart of England.

'Brannigan' was one of The Duke's last great films. He plays Chicago cop Jim Brannigan, sent to London to bring back a mobster. It was Wayne proving once again that no matter where you put him — Texas, Iwo Jima, or London — he is still John Wayne.

Kurt Russell Gave Charles Bronson a Birthday Gift as a Kid — Bronson Walked Away Without a Word. What Happened Next Stayed With Kurt for Life ❤️

Long before Kurt Russell became one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, he was just a kid working on a television set with one of the toughest-looking men in the business.

Charles Bronson.

They worked together on The Travels of Jaimie McPheeters in the early 1960s, when Kurt was only 11 or 12 years old. Russell later recalled that although Bronson had a difficult reputation, he liked him.

Then Kurt discovered it was Bronson’s birthday.

So the boy decided to get him a present.

Nothing grand.

Just a simple gesture from one actor to another.

Bronson accepted it…

turned around…

and walked straight back to his trailer without saying a word.

The crew immediately felt bad for Kurt.

Bronson could be intimidating, and everyone assumed the gift had meant nothing to him.

But about half an hour later, someone came looking for Kurt.
